Scientific articles on Rubens and his era shed new light on the Old Master.
The Rubensbulletin is a web-based journal with scientific contributions in various languages on the oeuvre of Peter Paul Rubens and his assistants. The Rubensbulletin is intended for Rubens scholars and others who are interested in this matter.
The name of the electronic publication refers to the Rubens Bulletijn, a journal that appeared in Antwerp from 1882 to 1910 and that used to disseminate sources on Rubens and his contemporaries across the world. The new Rubensbulletin continues this long tradition of Rubens research in Antwerp, the master's hometown. By means of this forum, the Royal Museum and the Centre for Flemish Art intend to stimulate the development and consolidation of an international Rubens network.
The Rubens project team is supervising the publication. The members are Dr. Valérie Herremans, Dr. Paul Huvenne, Lizet Klaassen, Dr. Nico Van Hout and Christine Van Mulders.
