The Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp collaborates with partner organisations such as the Flemish Art Collection and tZUID.
Flemish Art Collection
Flemish Art Collection is a structural cooperation
project between three large art-historical museums in Flanders: the Royal Museum of Fine Arts
Groeninge Museum in Bruges and the
of Fine Arts in Ghent. Since 2001, these three museums have been collaborating as partners in
the management of Flanders cultural heritage. However, this responsibility extends beyond the
regional borders of Flanders, as the collections of the museums include pieces that also belong to
the global cultural heritage.
In terms of content, the three museums are highly complementary. Together, they offer a unique and representative sample of Flemish art from the 15th to the 21st centuries. By joining forces in this way, the three partner museums strive to manage their Flemish and global cultural heritage in a more sustainable and qualitative way and to enhance its international status.
