From 1 February to 20 April 2014, Jongbloed!, the youth crew of the Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp (KMSKA), will be presenting its take on the exhibition The MODERNS. Duos .
The KMSKA exhibition The MODERNS. Duos ran in the latter part of 2013 at Koningin Fabiolazaal in Antwerp. The displays had been arranged by curators from KMSKA and the Province of Antwerp. However, this was just one way of showing the items to the public. As of 1 February, the museum’s youth crew Jongbloed! will be presenting its take on the original exhibition.
The idea of Jongbloed! creating its own exhibition came during a brainstorming session of the museum’s youth crew. KMSKA was pleased to give them the opportunity, so that now, for the very first time in its history, the museum is proudly presenting a show designed entirely by a team of youngsters. The ensemble of pieces featured in the original exhibition is complemented with further items from the collections of KMSKA and the Province of Antwerp, creating a new narrative and a fresh perspective.
Holders of a ticket to The Moderns. Duos purchased before 27 January 2014 are offered free entrance to this follow-up presentation that runs from 1 February to 20 April 2014.
In collaboration with the Province of Antwerp.
