The Dhondt-Dhaenens Museum regularly organises exhibitions that explore the taste and choices of private collectors. As Chief Curator of the KMSKA (1948-1973), Walther Vanbeselaere lent the museum’s collection a distinctive character. He developed his taste and art-historical vision in dialogue with other collectors in Flanders, both old and young.

Artists Oleg Matrokhin, Bart Lodewijks and Jacqy duVal interchange with the Vanbeselaere collection through special architectural, coloristic and mathematical interventions.
