DIY visits for teachers

Prefer to explore the museum independently with your class? You can! Book your group visit online yourself.

Strict conditions

Please take the following conditions into account before booking:
  • You can only book a group ticket without a guide for a maximum of 100 people at a time.
  • You must pay for your order immediately online. This order is final and cannot be modified.
  • Note: the types of tickets you order cannot be changed afterward either. Therefore, no refunds will be given for an incorrect booking. Only book when you are certain of the number of participants and the ticket type for each participant.
  • You will receive 1 single group ticket for your booking and not individual tickets per person.
  • Please do not bring school bags into the museum.
  • Each class group may bring a maximum of two free teachers or supervisors. Beyond these two free supervisors, the teacher card is not valid.
  • With a group ticket without a guide, access to temporary exhibitions cannot be guaranteed. The safety of the artworks comes first. Full is full. The museum collection is, of course, always accessible.

Agreements

The supervisor is responsible for the group
  • The supervisor will be addressed by the Heritage Security if the group does not follow the visitor regulations. Make sure to provide enough supervisors and ensure that your students always follow the museum rules. If our museum staff notice that a group is not adhering to the museum rules, the visit may be ended prematurely.
  • Groups should stay together as much as possible so that, as a supervisor, you can ensure the safety of your students and the artworks. Only allow your students to move freely if you are confident they will follow the museum rules.
  • Running is not allowed, but walking or dancing in place is permitted.
  • Talking in front of a painting, singing near a sculpture… it is allowed, and we enjoy seeing and hearing it, but make sure your group’s volume does not disturb other visitors.
  • Eating or drinking is not allowed.
  • Taking photos with flash is not allowed.
  • Always keep a safe distance from the artwork (at least 1 meter, or roughly the length of two arms).
