KMSKA LATE Live - Jazz quartet - Rune De Groote Quartet
Category:
Date:

During KMSKA LAAT, the masters on the walls are joined by a jazz quartet featuring saxophone, piano, double bass and drums.
Behind the drums is Rune De Groote, a 22-year-old musician from Ghent. He started playing the drums at the age of ten, but the real spark came when he saw Stéphane Galland perform at the Ghent Jazz Festival. Now studying at the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp, he composes lyrical and interactive jazz for his own RDG Trio, rooted in the acoustic tradition while embracing rhythmic innovation.
He brings this curiosity to the quartet, where saxophone, piano, double bass and drums are in constant dialogue, giving one another space to shine. The result is an interactive, contemporary sound that perfectly complements the unique setting of the Keyser Gallery.
