Mother's Day atelier: In Full Bloom
Celebrate Mother’s Day with the ‘Mother’s Day: In Full Bloom’ workshop, all about flowers. Be inspired by a riot of colourful blooms and get creative on a canvas. To top it all off, enjoy a delicious lunch together at Restaurant Madonna, and receive a special gift and a box of fresh strawberries from Hoogstraten.
Walk-in Tour: Women in the Picture
In this walk-in tour, you and a KMSKA guide will focus on a specific group: the women who played an active role in the art world. As artists, patrons, or collectors.
Walk-in workshop: Nature tickles
We warmly welcome you to this free workshop in the Museum Garden, specially designed for families with children aged 0 to 5. Discover the wonders of nature with your little ones, together with Veerle from the Parenting and Childcare Training Centre. You’ll play together safely, in the shade of our tent. This workshop is free of charge and no registration is required – just drop in!
Open Studio
Too much creativity to contain? Come create your own art in the Open Studio. Get inspired and explore new techniques in the workshop. Open to all ages—no prior experience needed!
Sweet treat for moms
Enjoy coffee and cake on the new terrace in the museum garden of the KMSKA Shop – with a little extra for all mothers.
At Grand Café Madonna, mothers are pampered with strawberries and dark chocolate. Pure bliss!
Artistic family portrait
Be immortalized by illustrators Kelly Hortense, Jango Jim and Ivo Vleminx. Between 10 am and 4.30 pm, they will create a unique family portrait in their distinctive style. You can find them at the entrance on level 1.
Practical information
- The Open Studio and the Artistic family portait are free with a museum ticket.
- An additional ticket is needed for the walk-in tour Women in the Picture.
