On Saturday, 11 April, the Friends will travel to LaM (Lille Métropole Museum of Modern, Contemporary, and Outsider Art).
After a year and a half of renovations, LaM is reopening its doors and celebrating with an inaugural exhibition dedicated to one of the masters of abstraction, Wassily Kandinsky (1866–1944). This retrospective exhibition, developed in collaboration with the Centre Pompidou, offers a fresh perspective on the artist’s work and highlights a still relatively unexplored aspect: the importance of images in his creative process. Kandinsky Facing Images traces the life and artistic journey of this major figure of the 20th century.
LaM also features a beautiful permanent collection and a sculpture garden. There is plenty to see for an enjoyable cultural day.
