Diverse dates and times

Are you visiting the KMSKA on the weekend or Wednesday afternoon? Then come and join us at our Open Studio, an artistic space where you can give free rein to your creativity.
Our Open Studio is truly open. For everyone: young and not so young, art lover and connoisseur. Our friendly studio guides are happy to help you on your way. This support includes specific needs (language skills, visual impairment, etc.). So do come and see what the Open Studio has to offer you.
Open Studio Geestgrond
From 23/5, step into the open studio and start building your own space with large building blocks. Want to create your own sculpture to take home? The studio guide will gladly help you make your own (human) figure, inspired by the work of Antony Gormley.
Open Studio Philip Aguirre y Otegui
As of 3/10, in this Open Studio you’ll be creating a sculpture that remains in balance. Like Philip Aguirre y Otegui, you’ll create a sculpture that appears to play with gravity. You’ll mould or craft shapes and then try to make them balance.
Philip Aguirre y Otegui creates art about people, community and inequality. He believes that art can bring people closer together. In this assignment, you’ll reflect on balance: both in your sculpture and in the world around you.
KrisKras - an Interactive Performance by the Koppoters
Creativity, Expression, and a Passion for Drawing!
Children create a drawing pecial for the performance KrisKras.
Inspired by their drawings of favourite animals, self-portraits, houses, monsters, and imaginary creatures, two actors perform exciting and funny stories without words.
After the performance, the young artists can collect their drawings again.
KrisKras contains no spoken language and is suitable for all children aged 4 and up, as well as their parents or guardians.
